Jenny Werbell
Jenny is a New York City native with over a decade in architectural lighting design. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design AND Lighting Design, Jenny comes to us with a background well suited to dive into the details of any lighting design project.
With her experience at BuroHappold, WeWork and Parsons, Jenny sees design from many perspectives: design, engineering, client needs/expectations, and a great ability to clearly communicate design solutions, lighting technology, calculations, and budget options. Jenny has spoken at Lighting Conferences in Paris, Dubai, and Edinburgh. She has served on the Health, Well-being & Productivity Committee, as well as the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at BuroHappold, she is a Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation Emerging Leader, and volunteers with Light Reach to bring solar powered lighting design to communities living in light poverty.
Jenny believes, “Light is a powerful tool that can be fun, beautiful, bold, subtle, functional and inspirational. It can guide how people engage with each other, in the built or natural environment, and is able to activate a space for community gathering or bolster moments of tranquility.”
